De Hallen – Amsterdam

Every food blogger in The Netherlands (and those who spent time in The Netherlands lately) have already written about De Hallen. However, because I live nearby and the place is right in the middle of the market where I do my weekly shopping, I thought I’d share some photos. De Hallen used to be a tram repair workshop and since 2014 it has been repurposed (and renovated) as a multi purpose space with shops and ateliers for small designers, a permanent food court for independent cafes/ restaurants/ chefs and a weekly “Local Brands” indoors market where craftspeople, micro food producers and designers can offer their products.
